From
the moment I watched the movie The Bucket List I fell in love with the idea of
identifying things I want to do and making a list of them. And with the
invention of Pinterest, I quickly began creating a long list of all the
things I want to do before I die. Like, I want to run a marathon (when I lose
weight) or I want to travel the world (when I have enough money) or I want to
live happily ever after. But what I've realized is there always seems to be a
reason why I can't complete my bucket list, a condition to each item and
with that, my list began to feel more like unattainable dreams.
As I
flip the page to a new chapter in my life, I'm making some major changes. I
want to work on living in the now, in the present, rather than waiting for that
magical time, when the stars align, when everything is perfect, where I can do
all those amazing things I want to do. So I took another look at my list and I
realized that there are plenty of things I can do right now, I just have to
take the step forward and make it happen. My first list item is to take a photo
everyday for a year, I'm calling it "A Year in Photo". But this won't
be the only bucket list item I'm going to check off, big or small I'm not sure
which one will be next.
This blog is to document my life, as I live it in the here and now. Challenging myself to take the first step, to do the things that scare me and the ones that make me excited; creating memories, good and bad, along the way and sharing it all with you.

was the day she made herself the promise to live more from intention and less
from habit." - Amy Rubin Flett
